This the cure for "Rocker Launch" The angled plastic wedge compensates for the curve in your telemark boot. When standing in your binding it keeps your boot heels flat on the binding heel pads. Also reduces stress on the binding toe-pieces. Important to note that all Voile Hardwire model bindings and the V-series Risers have a built in ramp to compensate for boot rocker.
